Yeah, I knew that… Akon was also behind T-Pain…
So, we have this gentleman of African heritage making (presumably) large amounts of money off of this pasty but arguably attractive white woman’s oral talents…in the 1970′s he woulda been called a Pimp…2000′s he’s an executive…and i’m proud of him!

How ironic, I was just thinking that with all of Gaga’s success Akon is almost never mentioned as the one who took a chance with her. However, I’m glad that he’s not a narcissistic attention whore who’s all up in her videos, songs, and press taking national credit for her success.

Good for Akon, man. I’m actually still shocked he’s as successful as he is…as an artist & now an exec.
Not everybody is a great judge of talent AND knows how to make hit records consistently. Akon is one of the few, and he obviously has a great ear for what is hot now & what will be hot.
Akon, T-Pain & Lady Gaga – 3 successful & completely different types of artists. Good stuff for him & Jimmy Iovine, especially…
btw her and tpain (not to mention his own success and the diamond mine) akon could call it quits and be STRAIGHT!
they only used him for the first single and video and she took off. done n done.
I actually like NOT to see the producer for once…Fancy That!! Producers really shouldn’t overshadow the star if the star is actually good.
