Marlon Wayans Starts Shooting Richard Pryor Biopic This Fall!

by admin on 02/22/2010 · 4 comments

Marlon Wayans is one of the happiest actors in Hollywood after landing the lead in “Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?” – a biopic about the late comedians life.  The role was originally supposed to go to Eddie Murphy, but Wayans ended up being chosen as the best man for the part with Murphy’s blessing.  Here is his quote about landing the role:

“This is like an invitation to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro for me, and I’ve never been more excited in my life than when I got the role.  I want to be in dramas, I want to produce, I want to write and I want to prove I can handle a role such as this one.”

This is going to be pretty interesting to see if he can pull it off. He’s so fine too lol. But I think it’s going to be the hardest role he’s ever had in his life. I wish him the best and hope it goes well. Good luck Marlon!!!

He can pull it off. I’ve seen glimpses of his dramatic performances and he will succeed.

He did a great job in Requiem for a Dream so I can imagine that he would pull this off
