Yikes, in a new interview with WonderWall the Guide To Style host had some not no nice things to say when it came to the Kardashian sisters and their clothing ventures:
WW: Are you a supporter of the Kardashians’ line with Bebe?
TG: No! I just think the Kardashians have an absence of taste and I don’t think that that should be perpetuated. I’m sorry I’m sounding like an old farty snob but it bothers me.
WW: You sound like somebody who’s telling the truth.
TG: I will say in general with celebrity labels, with the understanding that they’re not actually designing them, but you hope in a way that they’re not overseeing them either. I’m all in favor of anything that employs young designers.

i actually love the dolls style. SOME of the clothes from the bebe light are a hit
I agree with Tim…it’s not “hating”…it’s just that you have people who REALLY have a passion for designing, not just playing “dress-up” because someone says you dress cute. It SEEMS that if you’re not already a celeb then your chances for acting, designing, modeling, rapping, or singing are SHOT! We already know it’s a tight circle, but this recycling of the celebs is a MESS…as with all things..it’s time to get some fresh blood. Too many hungry people out here with AMAZING talent are being over looked…
OMG!!!!!!!! i so Agree with you……. it makes me sick I Say this all the time about celebs but even non celebs think just because i no a few designers names and i know how to dress that iam a ‘fashion designer’ im stylist im over it …..lol
Right (i.e. “SHE” by Sheree”) lol! Just because you know a designer doesn’t mean you should be one. I mean..most people who do it and do it well and become successful have a real PASSION for it. Like Gwen Stefani’s line “L.A.M.B.” her shit is FIYAH! But even though she’s fiyah, she isn’t in Milan or Paris, but I can tell she has a passion about fashion and it’s not just another “business deal” with her name on it..
Celebrity clothing lines are usually just an extension of celebrity branding. These lines are rarely about style and fashion, and are almost always about cashing in on crazed fans. Weather it be dolls, pillows or panties the goal here is money. I would assume that people with real passion and respect for the art of fashion feel the same exact same way as Tim Gunn does. But that won’t stop the obsessed fans from coppin and turning the label into a multi million dollar brand.
