im a lil perplexed about his comments on Precious. he said some things should be kept within a family. huh? if your momma is wiping ur azz like she’s an mma fighter and your father is fukin you like ur his side bitch. that should be kept a secret? the part about demons being behind the book. huh, again? ppl have tragedies going on in their families like that precious went thru no matter the race.
I do see what he means as far as when blks play a certain role we are looked at as being like that in real life. And I also agree that we need more upbeat positive movies that show us too.

While I agree with most of what he says, isn’t saying that white people cant separate the black actor from his role akin to saying that black people yell back at the screen, at the movies?
