When I heard he was in the running several months ago, I didn’t think it was serious. When I then read he was given the part if he decided to take it, due to his schedule conflict of already cast to shoot “romdotcom” or whatever the film is called…I was speechless I guess. Nothing about Evans shouts Steve Rogers. It isn’t about size; but I’m basing my perception on his demeanor and presence. Regardless of his acting abilities, he hasn’t given me reason to believe he was the best choice. But if Heath could pull the Joker off beautifully, I guess I shouldn’t write him off as yet until I see a trailer with him dawning the costume.

Good luck Evans. I really hope this interpretation of America’s icon isn’t destroyed like that crap Fantastic Four. It’s one thing I hate about one of my favorite pasttimes…destroying a comic book character via production of a horrible film. Please pack on about 25 pounds of muscle mass because you don’t appear nearly close to a guy that is going through the super soldier serum program.

That was chris o’donnell.

It takes more than mass to depict Captain America, but hopefully Evans can do the character justice for comic book fans such as myself
