Ummm… I didn’t see the use of any sanitizer at all. Unless you’ve mistaken Clinton’s shirt as such. Since you have an issue with telling the difference between the two, perhaps you’re not the most reputable person to be taking advice from. For the record, the last time that I checked, I’m black & I rarely get ill. Maybe twice per year. So, you really shouldn’t generalize… it’s not polite in most circles.
hand sanitizer is actually often grossly overused and often unnecessary in the first world.
it stimulates the formation and the evolution of supergerms which are resistant to widespread anti-infectives. these supergerms are becoming a scourge because they are resistant, if not immune, to our strongest antibiotics.
in the third world – you can get immunizations for the serious third world diseases – and stuff like malaria hand gel wouldn’t help anyway.

the overuse of “hygiene” as you call it is potentially responsible for allergies, autoimmune disorders like lupus and chronic fatigue, diabetes and insulin resistance, kawasaki disease, heart disease, autism, etc, in addition to long term chronic hepatitis because antiinfectives like hand gel are hepatotoxic and are absorbed into the bloodstream.

Yes, Bush appointed two African American’s, as well as Asian American & Hispanic Americans, to high level cabinet positions, during his Administration. Although, I believe that his motivation for appointing nontraditional cabinet members was driven more by ideology and strategy than concerns for diversity. It (diversity) definitely wasn’t his first priority.
Not to take anything away from Condoleezza Rice or Colin Powell. I think that they both are highly intelligent, capable, competent & skilled professionals, respectively, who were very deserving of their positions. I’m merely suggesting that Bush’s decision to choose them was initially for more aesthetic purposes, to keep up the appearance or the illusion of diversity. After all, his entire Presidency was based on false appearances, secrecy & facades. Primary example of that was/is the war in Iraq & Afghanistan. We still haven’t found any WMD’s or Bin Laden.
