Drake’s Highly Anticipated Album Gets A Release Date!

by admin on 03/29/2010 · 27 comments

Drake’s Thank Me Later album has just been given a May 25th release date spearheaded by his new “Over” single.  It might be safe to say that this is the most highly anticipated hip-hop release of this year with the exception of Kanye’s Good Ass Job album dropping this summer.

How many units will Drake move in his first week?

YOU TELL US!!!

240k and less

he’s not doign any higher than that shit….especially not with that wack ass single in terms of achieving a huge fan base…

he needs to hit the studio and hit the radio with a single like the Girl joint he had with lil wayne thatp ut him on the map.

I think he’ll do like 400K – which is pretty high considering recent record sales. His mixtapes are good and he’s got just about every credible rapper cosigning him right now.

He doesn’t have to worry about me cause I’m not buying it.

ppl who don’t like the single is not open to new style of music at first I was like this single is mediocre than it grows on me I think he should make 900k

that is just simply not gonna happen.

I’m thinking somwhere between 350k to 450k. He released alot of his good music on his ep. “Over” to me is just ok nothing great.

900,000?? are you serious??? susan boyle pushed 700,000 and her fan base includes people who actually buy music, that number is too farfetched. id say 200,000

It might be safe to say that this is the most highly anticipated hip-hop release of this year??????? Not. I have a few in mind that I’m anticipating (Distant Relatives, Wu Massacre, Sir Lucious Left Foot, Lasers,TM103,The Believer). Drake is mad overrated. The songs that have been released are nothing special or even worthy of downloading.

I’m more anticipated for Kanye’s album. Is it really dropping this summer? Seems so soon.

500-750K easy!!!! The man has a very wide fanbase….

This is part of the problem. People more concerned with first week # than quality.

I don’t know how much he’ll sell, but I don’t see him lasting that long to be honest.

Drake ass should have dropped an album a few months ago. He’s gotten a little boring to me. I’ll say 275k. Single isn’t all that, but people listen to him.

I swear his buzz has ended, most people I know dont even care about him anymore.

300k

who are we kidding!? hes gonna do over a mill! his album is more hyped than wayne’s carter 3 and he has wayyy more female fans who are the ones that actually go out and buy the album…hopefully it picks up where So Far Gone left off…
