Ohhh boy! A new viral video game out of Tokyo called RapeLay is causing all types of controversy because it encourages the player to rape unsuspecting girls and even coerce them into having an abortion if you get them pregnant. When the game begins you are standing on the subway platform and a teenage girl asks, “can I help you with something”.
What’s crazier the game or the fact that thousands are playing it? And if games like the highly popular Grand Theft Auto glamorize carjacking and killing….why not rape?

Because rape is a violent personal attack on your body and mind. You can replace a car and as far as killing goes, to put it bluntly, is rather final. No torture, no memories of how you was forced to except somebody entering your body repeatedly, and then impregnating you too???
This whole thing just isn’t right. I respect peoples freedom to to abhorrent things, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Yes, I read the rest of your comment, but you, like most people who have commented here, have not made a logical argument as to why this game is so much worse than other games that demand the player to commit any other illegal, invasive, and/or violent acts such as murder and burglary. I’m just choosing to reply onto your comment because yours is the closest to actually making a solid point. Key word: closest.
I don’t like this either, but The Life Files is right. This is just as bad as the other games out there that many gamers (including myself) enjoy playing. It’s a fantasy world. Though the wide availability and popularity of these games do not sit well with me either, I do not see a logical reason to ban this game if other equally (possibly) mentally damaging games are not banned.

This is disgraceful & disgusting. In my opinion, it has no place in civilized culture or society. Impressionable minds can’t discern fantasy from reality, unfortunately. So, this shouldn’t be accepted or allowed anywhere near children (their presumed target audience)… or even for adults, for that matter.
Surely our humanity hasn’t devolved this far, to accept something as revolting as this as merely entertainment. If we allow things like this, it’s a slippery slope to even more heinous material to become acceptable & available to the masses, further down the line.
There’s better rape games out there, I’m a little confused why this game is getting so much attention, its pretty old.

After watching several episodes of “To Catch A Predator” I saw just how many sexual abusers lived among us in plain sight. Is my opinion that this game needs to be banned immediately bcause these perverts and predators don’t need any further encouragement, titilation, or God forbid..recruitment!

theres nothing new about it, the game is from 2006. and they’re not meant to be played by westerns, japanese culture is way more advanced then ours. they’re also not the only ppl to admire rape, watch indian movies from bollywood, you’ll hardly find one that doesnt have a rape scene in it.
this is a four year old title, but i still enjoy playing it. the graphics are way dated. it’s hard to take it seriously when you are raping, trying to get into it, to such old graphics, but when it came out it was pretty top notch.
i especially like the ability to beat the women you are raping before *and* after the rape, and the choice of where to ejaculate.

People talking about how horrible rape is should just loosen up and learn to enjoy life instead of condemning pieces of harmless entertainment for letting people explore their sexual desires.
