It appears that rapper LL Cool J wasn’t too happy to find out that an old interview he did for the Fox network was being used to promote Sarah Palin’s new show “Real American Stories” about famous success stories. On Tuesday after seeing the interview which Fox says they own so have the rights to the rapper turned actor James Todd Smith had this to Tweet about the show which airs tonight [Thursday]:
“Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW.”
Fox has since responded saying they will pull the segment, and punched LL one time in the gut for helping get their new show some free publicity:
“Real American Stories features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.”
Is LL Cool J’s acting career fledgling???

Is LL Cool J’s acting career fledgling???
uh YYYEESSS
fledgling, adj. – Young and inexperienced.
Obviously Mr. Smith hasn’t achieved the level of success he would have liked to at this point in his acting career, but he actually HAS been at this acting thing much longer than implied here… this is clearly a jab at his lack of success and not his lack of experience. If ANYONE is fledgling, it’s Sarah Palin as a reality T.V. show host. The insult was uncalled for, they could have at least given him a heads up as to his media being used for an upcoming new show. Fox news doesn’t exactly have the best reputation when it comes to the Black, hip-hop community.
Wheather they were referrring to his expereince or his success, LL’s acting career isn’t fledgling. Not to mention that he’s one of the lead stars on tv’s new number one crime drama – NCIS Los Angeles.
Fox is just mad that once again they got caught manipulating the facts and using old footage to misrepresent one of their stories. Remember when they used the bogus rally footage to make it seem like more people were in attendance at a Palin/McCain rally than there actually were. Fox nor Palin have any credibility and go hand in hand. Watching this Palin character crash and burn is going to be better than I thought.
they hatin like fuck!
knowing he richer than all of them!
BOYCOTT FOX!!
sly fox!
Fox was out of line to use an old interview as if it were something done recently for Palin…….they’re out of pocket and just should have owned up to their error. If I were an artist I would limit who I offer an interview to since they want to act like that……heck TV stations need to realize with the internet it’s not really necessary to have a TV interview to promote anything……you can pull a “Brandy” and record yourself on your laptop singing in your bathroom.
TAKE THAT, TAKE THAT
