About 30,000 doormen who hold doors and pet dogs at some of New York City’s nicest buildings are threatening to walk off the job this week to get attention to their contract negotiations in hopes of getting everyone better pay, health care and pension. Currently, the average building worker makes about $40,000 a year with $28,000 in benefits.
If you know New Yorkers like we do….these guys will not be on strike for long, if at all. Those doors are so heavy…..
