Check out this excerpt from an article written on Grace Jones by UK publication Guardian where they ask Grace about a possible collaboration with Lady Gaga:
She did not make a new record for so long because there was nothing she wanted to do. Actually, she says, she did complete an album, but she couldn’t stand it, so she just buried it without a release. Any number of artists have asked to collaborate with her. Was Lady Gaga one of them?
“I just don’t play with other acts as a rule,” she says, with rare discretion.
What does she think of her? “I really don’t think of her at all. I go about my business.”
Has she copied her? “Well, you know, I’ve seen some things she’s worn that I’ve worn, and that does kind of piss me off.”
Is she talented? “I wouldn’t go to see her.”
So, did she ask to play with her? “Yes, she did, but I said no. I’d just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually.”

Lol first M.I.A and now Grace. They are speaking the truth though and the questions and frustration were inevitable so they aren’t hating because they always never gave a fuck and feel like Gaga like those other chicks are ripping off the icons especially Grace.

A little harsh, may’be inspired if that, but i don’t know about completely immitating her, she could have worded this alot better, Grace is a pro, come on Grace. Everybody borrows from someone atleast here and there. Well certain folks anyways, Gaga and MIA. are two different kinds of artists, while i do agree with MIA. that Gaga’s music does’nt match her image, becuz her music is typical electro/dance/techno/pop, but her image is very odd,awkward, and plain out there.
