Since January 2010 Toyota has recalled over 2 million vehicles in the US (8 Million worldwide) because of the sticking brake and gas pedals issue. The car giant must now pay a $16 Million dollar fine for taking 4 months to report the issue to the federal government – the largest fine levied against an automaker ever!.

Did any of you LIFERS have to bring your Toyota back for a check up???

SMH…that’s a slap on the wrist! Toyota will live with that and just jack up the prices on their Lexus models.

It’s a bunch of bs. This is all a plan devised by our illustrious gov’t to bump sales of American automobiles. The US govt has invested over 70 billion in Chrysler and gm by way of “bailout” money. Where are the fines for the 97/98 ford explorers that were exploding. Where’s the news coverage about the 1.8 million gm cars that were recalled in feb? They’ll keep coming out with recalls until gm/Chrysler/ford are number one again. Unfortunately it won’t happen. America can’t stand to see a foreign company in the No.1 spot in an industry that we invented. Thank you for the blueprint Henry Ford, but the japs got the industry on lock.

And if you need a new Toyota andcare in the NYC area… Holla @ me.

Peace.
