In crimes that we all wish weren’t really crimes news:

A judge Tuesday threw out a case against Nadine Hays, who is accused of hitting a TSA agent who allegedly tried to take away her elderly mother’s applesauce – if she stays out of trouble for six months.  “I just said I am not going to plead guilty to something I did not do,” Hays, 58, of Camarillo, said before her court appearance.  A year ago, Hays was going through security at Bob Hope Airport with her 93-year-old mother, who is now deceased.

Hays explained her mother was hard of hearing and suffered from dementia. So she emailed TSA ahead of time about the extra baggage.

Hays was charged with misdemeanor battery. She posted bail six hours later – still determined to get her mother to the wedding.  They eventually made it. While the trip was obviously memorable, it was in fact, her mother’s last.

The kicker is Nadine actually tossed the food in the garbage before she proceeded to her gate thinking it was over with. Don’t you LOVE people who go above and beyond for their jobs?
