The Nassau County’s district attorney’s office is hoping to prosecute a man named John Luongo who put his 10,000 square foot, 5 bathroom, waterfront Massapequa, Long Island home and S550 AMG Mercedes up for raffle because he could “no longer afford the payments”. Understandably people were eager to enter to win the home which was valued at over a million dollars, leading thousands to plunk down the $50 bucks required for entry to the auction – “He took upwards of $800,000 and the auction was never held, so we’re getting to the bottom of this,” DA Kathleen Rice said.
Maybe he can put up his house to get the bail money….here’s the message saw when we visited his website FromRafflesToRiches:

huh what a dick head.
lol… I think this is actually clever.
brilliant even!
I think that was actually a good idea and in fact many auctions work like that where you have to pay a fee in order to get in… not sure what he did wrong here though that got him in trouble though… maybe in setting it up he forgot to follow the rules of setting it up or something… in fact I wonder what made this criminal unless he did one of those now i got the money, why am I selling deal LOL
hahaha very brilliant! fuck it! times are tough in this cut-throat world!
Well after he pays everyone back and fights the criminal charges he’ll probably still loose the house and be in worst financial shape …so how brilliant will he be then?
Even after returning 98% he would still have walked away with $8,000. If the DA hadn’t gotten wind of it.
Even after returning 98% to everybody he would still have walked away with $16,000. If the DA hadn’t gotten wind of it.
