When this news broke last night on CNN, I already knew those opposing the nominee would instantly go after her lack of practicing experience. She has an extensive legal career but none where she was actually a judge. Though the constitution does not state a member of the Supreme Court must have been a judge, but it’s the first thing all news outlets have mentioned and Senator Sessions is already concerned with her non-judge experience. He’s also very troubled with her stance on not allowing military recruiter on campus due to their stance on homosexuality.
The hearing will definitely be an interesting one. Perhaps like Sotomayor’s.
