i’m split 50/50. interesting concept, but it looks like her bottom is that of a damn dog! a greyhound to be specific. wish she would have thought of something more elegant. she looks kinda cute in her half though. LOL!
and its interesting how stars like her (and amerie, etc.) can sell in the UK, but can’t seem to move as many units in the US.
There’s another one where she’s nude covered in diamonds. Body. Is. Crazy.
Amerie isn’t really big in the UK, but I get your point. Certain blk acts have always done better in Europe than the US. Kelis is very euro-centric tho. Her sound, fashion,etc. So it makes sense that they connect to her on a bigger level.
I’m a big vocal trance/electronica aficionado and with the background of Kelis, I think she would be more successful if she went fully into the genre. She would fit well with such kings of the genre production wise; Armin Van Buuren, George Acosta, Nic Chagall, etc. She’s already balancing between R&B and electronica, why not give it your all? Her vocals suit the melodies very well
This album is atrocious. If she wants to enter the electronica/trance field, she should go completely ahead with that endeavor. Until she does, she’ll forever remain in this limbo and it shines through with her album. I think she would do great alongside the greats, such as Jes Brieden, Susana, Nadia Ali, etc
Well it’s been getting great reviews, so I think she achieved what she set out to do.

Kelis is freaking AMAZING! Screw the haters, they don’t know shit anyways, like the idiot above. Flesh Tone is one of the best dance albums that came out in a past few years. Kelis is capable to pull any and everything because shes just that freaking incredible!
I beg to differ.I wouldn’t even place this album in the top 20 electronica, vocal trance/dance albums of the last ten years. But to each his own. I know she has talent. I’ve supported her since her first album. I know she could’ve done much better on this release and I was expecting greatness, but was disappointed.

I LOVE KELIS! AND IM EXCITED FOR HER NEW ALBUM “FLESH TONE” AND ITS TRUE…ppl in the USA do not understand her and in Europe they really like artists that are different and their of the opposite of what we like…Beyonce is big in the US but Kelly is bigger in Europe!

does kind of resemble a dog lower half though… The sphinx pose has the hind quarters posing in the crouched position like the front, not laying… maybe if the tip of the lions tail was in the image…

LOL they know she is and was always whack! She tries harder ever time and for 11 years has never been able to hit the target that is a true sign of a failed career. No mater how hard she tries in these pics her talent is what sells the album and her singing is horrible to say the least. Her albums always gets descent reviews and the sells never add up to the hype.
