$50,000,000 In Salt Looks Like This

by admin on 05/20/2010 · 13 comments

KFC is saying that some time this month they will have sold their 10 millionth Double Down sandwich, the first “controversial” burger we can remember which includes bacon and cheese smothered in sauce between two chicken filets.  The sandwich which sells for $5 bucks and according to nutritionists contains 540 calories, 32 grams of fat, and 1,380 milligrams of salt was supposed to be in KFCs until this Sunday will now live in the arteries of Americans for “as long as customer demand remains high”.

Have you tried it yet???

To each his own. I wouldn’t touch these fast food restaurants with a ten foot pole. Nearly 1400mg of sodium. That is roughly 70% of your daily intake. Awesome. And then people cry foul against the industry when they are diagnosed with health related diseases.even more awesome. Eat what you want but don’t complain about it later and then try in May to get your body ready for the summer.

KFC’s grilled chicken combo’s arent that bad. But the last time I was in there I was shocked as hell to see so many people (black, white, fat, & skinny) ordering the double down. Personally, I don’t like the idea of bacon and fried chicken being paired together in any dish.

it’s actually not bad at all… but neither is the “Luther” burger with the Krispy Kreme donuts as the buns (REALLY ridiculous)… or ANY thickburger at Hardees… but I suppose everything in moderation.

I wouldn’t eat it, however its absolutely no difference btwn this and a burger and fries, so I don’t get the hoopla, they have like the same nutrition facts

No one, I repeat, NO ONE wonders why Americans have high rates of obesity.
