She’s done with releasing albums as reports have stated. She mentions having the interest of only releasing singles. From what I’ve also read, in the music economy today, that’s where the revenue really is. As for her haircut, I think she looks great.
you know… it seems like for a long while now MOST artist have REALLY only been interested in making singles… they’ve just been packaging them with a boatload of other hastily made bullshit and selling it to us as a complete album!!! Kudos to Janet if she plans on changing that reckless trend. with the rise of MP3′s and iTunes, we’ve started piecing together our own custom playlists anyway… so maybe the fact that some artist are selling more of the core tracks on their albums than the filler stuff would motivate them all to go back to basics and make music that counts… ya know…? just a thought.
I definitely see nothing wrong with releasing singles because we can all agree on one thing, the albums being packaged and released these days in R&B/Hip-Hop are utterly terrible. That’s why I several years ago crossed over into the Vocal Trance/Electronica region. I love Alternative and Classical as well. I listened to songs from Marvin Gaye; “If I Should Die” or songs like “Regrets” from Reasonable Doubt and then I fast forward to the songs of today and question what the heck happened to the ears of listeners and artists? Are we the fans allowing them to get away with this or is it the artists fault for thinking their music is good? Not sure, but i think musically, i was born in the wrong era.
Only Janet, Halle, & Toni Braxton can wear long or short hair and look GREAT!
