Nearly a dozen states and several cities are banning or debating bans on K2 — a packet of herbs coated with a synthetic chemical that mimics a marijuana high when it’s smoked — amid fears that its use is spreading among young people.
K2, also known as “Spice,” is sold online, in convenience stores and in herbal or spiritual shops, and is usually marketed as incense. The herbs, which sell for as much as $35 an ounce, have emerged as a popular, legal alternative to marijuana among teenagers and college students.
The Sacred Journey, a medicinal herb store in Lawrence, Kan., had sold K2 starting in August as part of a collection of incense, owner Natalie McAnulla says. Store sales skyrocketed from $1,000 a day to $10,000 a day.

Ive been a daily smoker for 2 years, 4 grams a day, and im in perfect health and mental state. The stuff i smoke puts real weed to shame, id know as ive smoked weed from Florida to Cali, nothing compares to potpourrie. Just had some cardio test done, perfect health, also had blood work done, perfect results. This stuff rocks, but some brands suck. OMG is the best brand, made by MR Nice Guy. Just gotta be smart about when you do it, but it only last about 10 minutes. Id say its safe, and ive been on some of the most insane trips, mainly ecstacy, this stuff is comparable. Did i mention i graduated high school with all A’s? Haha.

Iv smoked this fake stuff for about 2 yrs and I happen to thank its better than real weed .. I go thru 10g bags a day and I feel perfectly healthy it happens to relaxe. And eas my mind also it keeps me outta jail… just be cautious when u smoke it especially u first timers .. the key is just to relaxe and stay calm if u trip ur self out its a bad trip .. so just stay calm and enjoy it ..

I’ve been smokin this for past 2 years and had no problems so far. I work as a musician and it really boost the creativity and helps me relaxing. Btw i’ve been abstinent for about 6 years. Got really sick and tired of liquor. Did u know that there are only two drugs person can be physically addicted to? Thats Alcohol and Heroin. Just so u know in what category alcohol is. I believe that inhaling any type of synthetic substance cant be good for you but what in this world is? Eating fastfood? If you want your children to live perfectly healthy life, go get a 2 acres somewhere out of civilisation plant some carrots and tomatos and dont ever let him or her to find out there are other people and society which will sooner or later fuck him up anyway

just a little bit of info for those of you that think there are no ill side effects there is. I’m a 29 yr old male who had smoked pot until about 2 yrs ago. Never smoked cigs or drank one drop of alc. never used anything other than pot I get a yr check up and labs drawn. 2 yrs ago I had 100% health then I started smoking the legal weed because my job started randoms so I needed something that wouldn’t show up but was like weed so I tried this k2 &k3 and have just recently quite using it because I went for my yrly and now my liver my kidneys and my lungs are now slowly are breaking down when my doctor asked me if I was having any pain in my lower back I asked why he told me that my liver kidneys and lungs all looked very bad from the last time I had seen him so he asked if I was doing anything different the last yr and I had told him I had stopped smoking pot and started smoking the legal stuff for my job. so this is for all you idiots out there still smoking this stuff it might not effect you immediately but it will catch up to and kill you another example is my 22 yr old brother he was health never had a seizure in his life he doesn’t the legal anymore but he still has atleast 1 to 2 seizures a week from smoking that stuff there are some long time effects that can stay with you evebn after you stop smoking it so cherish you lives and don’t smoke the k2 n k3
