Needless to say many New Yorkers were not happy with the approval of a mosque to be erected at Ground Zero in NYC. As the announcement was made people became irate and started shouting during the meeting.

Have some respect and have a muslim presence somewhere else….where is the funding for this coming from? Not many structures would be appropriate at ground zero let alone a mosque.
I dont see any reason why their can not be a mosque closeby. As the US has allways recognized they are against terrorism, not Islam.

Comparing the scandals of the Catholic Church to this situation is like comparing toenails and apples. A mosque does not belong at ground zero. It just goes to reinforce for us the fact that these people have no hearts and no consideration fo the people who have lost their lives there or their families. More muslims being douche bags…. what a shocker. And you wonder why people hate you…

Not a good idea but not because of the redneck Islam = evil nigger nazi’s but because of the State Church split which means that the goverment should give money or land to any church or Islam Synagoe or any form of religous building.
They should either sell the land and build a new skyscraper to show that the terrorists cant harm us, or build a museaum about the war on terror

hahahaha. this is ridiculous. Its not actually ground zero, it is very near by. IF the owner of the property wants to build a mosque, and the zoning allows it, whats wrong? Deep unjustified racism amongst americans for a tagic event 9 years ago that muslims were NOT responsible for. (cough G.W.B. cough..). People need to grow up and be more accepting of other cultures, ANY culture. This group is being extremely respectful towards NY actually volunteering a dialougue about the potential build. Video highlight: 1:48, when the jersey shore reject, steps up in anger…hes not even sure why.
