What artists have to always remember, your fans didn’t magically make a leak version of their songs or albums. Someone you trust within your circle collected material and gave it to the highest bidder or simply placed material online just for the sake of things. He handled things well in comparison to other individuals. I didn’t know this album leaked though. Wayne’s album leaked about a month before and he sold 1 million copies of The Carter III. Hopefully Drake’s numbers won’t be too diminished for his personal expectation.
Despite the album leaking early (we all knew that it would), it will still be ubiquitous this summer, which will add to its allure even more. Music is the soundtrack of our lives. It facilitates the recollection of memories/moments. Therefore, I predict that it will still do crazy numbers on the 15th.
If he can sell a mixtape (So Far Gone) in stores, 6 month after it becoming available on the internet for FREE, then a leak 2 weeks before its schedule release shouldn’t be a problem for him.
I will NOT be buying the album, he let me down with this one.
this is his debut so we need to be easier on him BUT this is not going to be the album we were all waiting for from drake…too much people featuring on the album and a lot of the songs were……flops (hate to say it)

Maybe the album sales pressure got to him and he leaked the album himself. Now he can just blame poor numbers on the leak.

Piracy and leaking dont hurt the music biz the buisness is as strong as ever only sales are spread around more amongst artists sources(shops/ itunes) and live vs. recorded and a good artist will still earn his money. havnt istend to it yet but I think it will be worth buying. also his EP/ mixtape was out for mounths and for free before he got a deal and it really stared selling so he proved that music can be free and sell
it will be Drake’s summer again just like last year….and I will be getting the album because of the sound quality.
Absolutely buying this one, he’s earned it. Not listening until June 15.
