Barack Obama Wants To Know Whose ‘Ass To Kick’

by admin on 06/08/2010 · 5 comments

Is this what everyone wanted – a more aggressive President?!  Barack Obama is so upset about the reaction to the Gulf oil spill and criticism of his job by “talking heads” he’s ready to tear into somebody’s behind.

Chi town what’s up fool! Break yo self BP!??!

Yes! Obama needs to start kicking ass & taking names, beginning with the BP big wigs that can’t seem to determine the best way or any way of getting this thing under control. The time is past due for action on this issue. Otherwise, people will liken this disaster to how “Katrina” was handled by Bush.

Obama was given an absolute mess; from the economy, to the war, & now this. So, I appreciate his efforts in resolving all of these issues. People can “Monday Morning Quarterback” all they want, but, unless you’re working to actually handle these issues, you’re simply making asinine arguments.

people already liken this to Karina so its probably too late for that ESPECIALLY for those who are effected.

I really love this man and I am proud of what he has done to get to where he has been, but more and more he seems to have a specific idiology (especially the people around him) that seems to make him think that the government can control everything and anything.

This is BP’s fault and they should fix it. He and his team made it sound like they could fix it…. let me state that again

He and his team made is seem like they could fix it and they were in charge when in fact, they were not

Why do that? The government does not have the expertise to handle this, by law (especially because of the Valdez accident) it says that they broke it so they fix it.

We are addicted to oil. In order to get off of it we will need to drill here in the US… there is no avoiding it until we can get that green infrastructure in place (which will take decades).

I have to face it and so do you. He and his team TOTALLY handled this wrong…. I don;t like BP and the pressure should be one them but having someone on your team saying stuff like putting a boot on someones neck seems a little off. It hard for someone to clean up a mess with a boot on their neck. Keep in mind that there are families who work for this company… is the boot on their neck too?

He would have still been blamed but no one would think it was worst than Katrina if he handled it better.

I agree that the blame & the responsibility to resolve this crisis should squarely fall upon the shoulders of BP Execs & their staff. In fact, the U.S. Government gave the responsibility of the incident to BP and will hold it accountable for costs incurred in containing the situation. But, this problem has been going on since April 30th; i.e.: far too long.

On May 11, 2010, Congress called the executives of BP, Transocean, and Halliburton to a hearing regarding the oil spill. When probed for answers regarding the events leading up to the explosion, each company blamed the other. BP blamed Transocean who owned the rig, who then blamed the operators of the rig, BP. They also blamed Halliburton, who built the well casing. Therefore, the Government had to step in. Waiting & watching from the sidelines hasn’t done anything, thus far.

How would the president know how to fix a freakin oil leak? Is he an Engineer or Expert on the subject? Is there a “Department” in the White House that handles corpirate turned public disasters…Hmmm…let’s think about that. FEMA? naaaaaaw…lets look at history, big business, and politics and then make some real assessments! It is not Obama’s fault or responisbility to fix it! All he can do is provide a check and balance and heplp pass laws that can help prevent this from happening again! This is not a natural disaster this is a corparate one due to negligence and greed! Where are the criminal investigations into BP?
