This just in from USA Today:
Conrad Murray will be allowed to continue to practice medicine in California while awaiting trial in his Michael Jackson involuntary manslaughter case.
At a hearing today, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor declined to grant a request by California authorities to suspend Murray’s license. Murray’s attorneys fought the restriction, arguing that it would prompt authorities in Texas and Nevada to take similar action, reports AP. Murray operates clinics in both states, which have ordered him not to use anesthetics on his patients.
Michael Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine, sat next to each other on the front row in the small courtroom, along with two of the pop icon’s brothers, Jermaine and Randy, and one of his sisters, LaToya Jackson, reports CNN.
Wow…the family seems like they really want to see this doctor take the hit. Not sure why we thought this matter would be quietly resolved among lawyers.
