Seattle police are investigating the incident in the video above where a cop can be seen fighting with two women before punching one of them who happened to be 17-years old in the fez. Authorities have already commented on the potential scandal:
A Seattle Police Department spokesperson declined to review the tape Monday night. However, Seattle Police Department spokesperson Sean Whitcomb told KING 5′s news partner The Seattle Times that “punching is part of the repertoire of techniques officers are raught to use when a situation gets unruly.” Whitcomb added, “after looking at the police report he does not see anything that would suggest the officer handled the situation inappropriately.”
Seattle police said medics looked at both females and “nobody appeared to be injured as a result of the altercation.”
It does look like they were fighting around with him…better a sock than the taser….

Seriously dude, I’ve dealt with Seattle police and they are beyond arrogant and speak down to you without cause. I could NEVER imagine being man handle for Jay walking in New York but I could never imagine being shot if I were leaving my bachelor(ette) party in Queens neither (RIP Sean Bell). I was once tear gased by the le Police in Paris, France during a mini riot in front of the Eiffel Tower… I guess the cops are hated around the world…. ha..ha… mama mia…

Public display of stupidity for the young women involved, Inflamatory language, disrespect for the laws everyone is “suppose to abide by.” The men standing around video taping and flapping their lips are just as stupid and socially irresponsible. Compliance offers a suspect “Less or no use of force!” Shut up, stop resisting, and act like adults!
At least the Officer had the balls to respond accordingly, the supect could have easily grabbed his firearm. The public needs to accept Police pressence, obey laws, and think rationally. That or either hire Barney Fife!

I can understand the officer issuing a citation for jay walking, but, was an arrest neccessary?
They should’ve complied with the officer, hired an attorney & handled the dispute in court.

He tried to restrain them and they double teamed him. If I were him and they were telling me “Ni**a get yo’ hands off me…etc. etc) I wouldve pulled my gun and had everybodys ass on the ground so quick….then I wouldve turned around and said, now video tape that.

For all of the people who feel that the officer was justified in striking that 17 year old girl in the face; allow me to pose this question to you.
If the officer had been a black man & the girl had been a white, would you still have come to the same that same conclusion that the officer would have been in the right by striking her?
Before you answer that, consider this; bear in mind the Kanye/Taylor Swift incident? I’m sure that you do. & that was simply over him grabbing the microphone & interrupting her during a speech, without physical assault at all.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to justify the girl’s actions; them being combative towards the officer was absolutely wrong.
I’m merely posing a hypothetical question regarding the same scenario; if the races were swapped, would you still feel the same way that you do about this situation.
