We just got wind of this new SPIN magazine article where Eminem talks about recording a diss song aimed at Lil’ Wayne and Kanye West back in 2006. He addresses the unreleased record on “Talkin’ 2 Myself” from his upcoming Recovery album out next week. He says:
“I thought, ‘Man, I can do that shit. He ain’t that dope,’” Em said. “I’m hearing this dude say some clever, witty shit and I’m not doing it, so I feel fucked up.” Em ultimately opted not to release the unnamed dis track. “It would have been career suicide,” he said. “They would have fuckin’ murdered me.”
If that went down… it would have been crazy.

I’m sure Eminem would have killed both of them lyrically but to do it out of jealousy is wrong and I can admire him for his restraint and humbleness. Eminem is turning a new page in his life and it’s a really good look for him.

It would’ve been interesting to see a battle between them. The only people that Em has had a public feud with have been Ja Rule, Benzino & 90′s Pop Stars. So, it would’ve been exciting to see him take on some dudes that had/has the capability/skills to verbally spar with him. Though, I imagine that that it could’ve turned ugly rather quickly, cause Em can be so disrespectful, when battling, sometimes.
