Only days after Afghanistan General Stanley McChrystal’s controversial interview with Rolling Stone of all sources hit the web, today he’s slated to meet with President Obama at the White House. Several news sources have said that McChrystal will be bringing his resignation letter to the meeting which should be nice and awkward.
No telling if Obama who the general described as “uncomfortable and intimidated” will accept the resignation but he has already said the general clearly has diarrhea of the mouth. Not in those words but…
UPDATE: Welp, he had this meeting and according to the Associated Press, “significantly, McChrystal departed the White House before Obama convened a regularly scheduled war planning meeting there.”

Obama can’t control what the media does and says nor can he control public opinion. But he can control his underlings respecting him. And since this general, who answers directly to Obama publically disrepected him, Obama should publically fire his ass… IMMEDIATELY!

The general handed anletternof resignation to the president. In other words, he knew the aftermathnof such a comment And instead of being relieved of duty, he resigned.
My problem with this as I’ve come across with comments online, the story is unfolding into a once again division of race with regards to something involving President Obama. To put this clearly, you do not want during a lengthy war, which is never going to be a winning one in the definition of “victory,” have your General making statements in a magazine about the war in the manner he did. It can create the image of Instability and lack of belief in your military tactics. How will insurgents view the statement? How about the failing confidence of your own people.
It’s not Black vs White, this is based on maintaining the upper hand and such a commet can be severely detrimental for the troops.

Obama sucks and deserves nothing but to be scrutinized!! This idiot has done nothing since he has become president!!! I cannot wait for him to leave in 2012 cause he isn’t becomming president again!!!
So health care was nothing right? Nor was the reppeal of the don’t ask, don’t tell policy of the military? Signing a law meant to improve the ability of women who allege pay discrimination to sue their employer, passing the “largest” economic stimulus bill in American history, along with all of his other accomplishments are all nothing right?
