Watch this video and see for yourself, but according news sources:
With rain in the forecast and an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, 10 Connects has been getting e-mails and calls from viewers wondering if we could soon see black rain. National Weather Service Science and Operations Officer Charlie Paxton says while it’s always possible a water spout could pick up some oil and carry it a short distance, the notion of black rain is just not possible. Paxton says that’s because oil does not evaporate. As a result, talk of black rain is just a myth.
Tell that to the guy who posted this on YouTube….he’s convinced!
In other news, today the cap that has been used to contain the oil flow by BP only to be pulled off after a small submarine accident earlier this week has been placed back on. While the cap was off, oil flowed into the ocean at 104,000 gallons per hour….
