A website named ThinkGeek which sells geek stuff and gag gifts is in hot water over their latest joke, selling Canned Unicorn Meat with the tagline, ““Pâté is passé. Unicorn, the new white meat.”  Turns out the National Pork Board didn’t think this was sooo funny, because “the other white meat” is pork’s thing and besides what if unicorns start outnumbering pigs…….

Scott Kaufman the CEO of the site has already issued this half hearted apology:

“We’d like to publicly apologize to the N.P.B. for the confusion over unicorn and pork — and for their awkward extended pause on the phone after we had explained our unicorn meat doesn’t actually exist.  It was never our intention to cause a national crisis and misguide American citizens regarding the differences between the pig and the unicorn.  In fact, ThinkGeek’s canned unicorn meat is sparkly, a bit red, and not approved by any government entity.”

But too late, the porkers already hit him with a cease and desist order…
