I am a woman and I don’t believe she deserves that amount. That’s more than half of his net worth, not right at all. But I disagree with you @ 4 zero2sixty , she does deserve a fraction, just not that much. She was his loyal wife for years and very much helped to create his clean cut, good guy image that enabled him to earn that amount of money. Not to mention all that free labour she provided for him within their household. Being a housewife is ‘work’. He did her wrong and potentially endangered her life with his reckless sex escapades and caused her a lot of humiliation.
Either way Tiger agreed to pay her this amount, this wasn’t court appointed, he obviously felt this was a better deal…

I’ve never agreed with the ridiculous levels of divorce settlements because it seems each high society wife is trying to break the record from those on the list of costliest divorce settlements; it’s becoming a competition and the justice system is fueling this matter. Was he wrong for cheating? That’s for debate; was it expected by his wife? More than likely she knew, she allowed it but perhaps set limitations and he crossed the line by having the affairs public. There are plenty high society wives who are aware of affairs but set stipulation on what can take place.
Nonetheless with the divorce of Adnan Khashoggi from his them wife Soraya, she received $874 million, yet she cheated and had a child he thought was his. By the way, this net worth for Tiger is a bit skewed, by the end of 2010, he should be the first athlete to reach $1BB…how does it say he’s worth over $2BB here? He earns a little under $2MM for personal visits and his endorsements brought in about $100+MM from ’08-09. Nonetheless this matter of divorce settlement will differ depending on gender usually, but I honestly believe she doesn’t deserve the payout but he screwed up big time and with the contract of their marriage tarnished by his affairs, she’s legally owed payment so it’s “deserved” legally but on a personal level; heck no.
The children deserve the best Money can buy but she can get up off her high society behind and do this thing we all do…what’s it called again? Oh yeah, work.

If we base our findings on Forbes and the other magazines who track celebrity net worth and based on the divorce settlement, the idea is that Woods is worth at least $1.5BB…that’s a bit inaccurate since claims have always been by the end of 2010, he could potentially become the world’s first billionaire athlete. He’s worth roughly around the amount of this supposed divorce settlement so if you believe he’s paying his entire worth or more than he actually possesses, please revisit the Forbes list one more time people.
