I’m not a fan of Ne-yo’s new single.

But I don’t think Usher’s new music is great either, nothing touches 8701 and Confessions – now that was Usher at his prime.

Usher’s new music isn’t as good as confessions, as that album was a classic. No male rnb artists has even come close to replicating the type of success usher had with confessions (arguebly Beyonce is the only other rnb artists that has since been as successful). With that being said, Usher is dominating the game right now and, judging by his first two singles, Neyo doesnt appear to be anywhere near the level of Raymond vs. Raymond

Usher’s unreleased tracks with the Neptunes and the tracks from ‘Rhythm City Vol.1′ are the best he’s done in my opinion and how his albums SHOULD sound, not this safe, poppy club garbage.

Also if R. Kelly was still on point and not putting out ridiculous material these days then he would still be number 1 for sure.

@cam trust me he’s still number 1, go to you tube and listen to his new songs like: speaking my language, sign of a victory, falling from the sky, i know you got a man, when a woman loves, piano lessons, pregnant, and more. do your research

We agree with Ne-yo that is no Confessions, but Raymond vs. Raymond is damn close. “There goes my baby” is a smash and “Lil Freak” hard up there wuth Usher’s best.

We disagree that R&B is in a bad state with himself, Trey Songz and even older artist like Charlie Wilson and Kem.

“Champagne Life” will kill the rest of the summer along side Trey Songz “Bottoms Up.”

Usher crushes Ne Yo lyrically, musically and in dance choreography…….PLUS Usher doesn’t have that gay twinkle in his eye like Ne Yo does. Doesn’t matter how many women I see Ne Yo around, or how many times he proclaims his straightness, there is something about him that I’m not buying….dude is real suspect to me and he always has been.

Yes he definitely has that Jason Derulo suspect stance about him, lmao but wut does bein gay have to do wit putin out great music?

Selling a fake image i cant fuck wit…but if you got talent regardless of sexual orientation then it shouldnt matter. I think he’s just tryna throw shade every which possible.

I wonder why is it that artists who start of as just writers or producers always fill like their shit dont stink. Being great at writing music doesnt mean your meant to be a great artist.

Usher’s radio joints right now are all Banging! Ne-Yo where you at? Trey Songz and Urrsher are killing it, Getcha Sum, Son. Stop Talking, Start Singing.

PS… I ain’t mad at someone giving their opinion as a Fan, which Ne-yo was clearly doing.

Honestly, I agree with Ne-Yo, both on the state of R&B right now and Usher’s new CD. Lyrically, R&B is just over-crowded with sex-ed up topics, rather than on relationships and the different aspects of love. And I’m just flat out disappointed with Usher’s Raymond vs. Raymond. It doesn’t even feel like he’s trying to advance himself in any way, but rather he was just trying to grab back his superstar status back by producing garbage club-bangers. I at least admired his attempt to become more ‘soulful’ in ‘Here I Stand’. After Raymond vs. Raymond, I seriously doubt I’d buy his next CD as soon as it comes out.

Usher’s new album R V R was good, but if we have to compare it with confessions…of course it’s not as good. I enjoy his extended Versus album that just came out. I think he’s got some good songs on there. ‘Dj Got us falling’, Lay You down, Stranger, Hot Tottie, Lingerie…’ he’s doing his thing. I prefer him to any other artist in the R&B/pop arena, but I hope his next album tones down a bit on the sex and talks more about the relationship like he did on confessions and 8701.

Neyo is a bore, just jealous of Usher’s unfading success year in year out, evergreeen unlike his one hit wonders. Raymond vs. Raymond got nothing on Confessions, yup that’s right, but he’s done that, he’s matured up and he just giving us more variety to listen to, unlike you. Am sensing a killer album when Usher decides to go back to studio next time.Smelling his dancing shoes on, his nasal passages clear and his charm still intact, Raymond vs. Raymond is like WOW!
