Eminem Goes For A ‘SPIN!’

Eminem covers the latest cover of SPIN magazine…  check out this excerpt from the article entitled Is Eminem Hip-Hop’s Brightest Star?

In his stiff, alert bearing, there’s no hint of the manic playfulness you get in his music or his videos. This is especially striking because the studio, which he owns and refers to as “my house,” is a pleasure dome: A dozen vintage arcade games line one wall of the main lounge, facing a soda fountain. A pile of unopened shoeboxes — freebies sent by Nike — sits next to a window facing an interior garden equipped with a barbecue grill. Many successful people — not to mention virtually every rapper in history — say they thrive on struggle, even as they’re surrounded by opulence. But Eminem, the biggest recording artist of the 2000s, to the tune of 80 million albums sold, has a relationship to adversity that is unique and extreme. He made his name, foremost, as a fighter, as a threat, as an irritant — battling for acceptance as a white MC, railing against censorious parents’ groups and pundits, lashing out viciously against everyone from his mother to George W. Bush to ‘N Sync.

This dude has to be one of the most fascinating celebrities we’ve had in some time. An anomaly in every sense of the word. Congrats Em on your continued success and your recovery from addiction. The world is your stage.

I love Eminem and his new music with Rhianna. I saw his publicist Pam Pinnock out at the music video shoot with him and when I asked her what he was like to work with she said he is one of the sweetest clients she has ever represented. That says a lot given she has worked with some of biggest, notorius celebrities in the biz like DMX, Jayz, John Legend. Pam Pinnock said rapper Eminem is kind, considerate and a very giving person. She also said his drug addiction is all behind him and his fans can look forward to music that is going to bull them away. Wow, I found that hard to believe just by looking at him but I guess that bad boy image is just smoking mirrors. As a fan I hope , Eminem has beat the drug addiction and we can look forward to some new, new from him. We will see!
