This song comes from the new cover album collaboration between The Roots and John Legend – and features Common and Melanie Fiona. What do you think?

Didnt really change it. Id rather listen to the original.
Yawn… this collabo sounds like it would put me to sleep… went to the Roots concert in Prospect Park 2 weeks ago… most boring thing ever! Roots = Overrated and boring!
I guess you’re only speaking for yourself..You must think Justin Bieber is much more exciting
Great, feel good music for the summer sounds very crisp.
this shit is trash!
well!… they tried…the Teddy Pendergrass original still tops this remake , which isn’t bad at all….
Fiona wasn’t needed for this. She oversang. Another case of smeone who doesn’t know how to sing properly.
When giving an opinion, would it hurt so much for yall to actually THINK? Some of you compare the original and cover. When considering the cover you need to know that the original was 30 years ago, and that this generation is being exposed to it as “new music”. My opinion about covers is DO NO DAMAGE. If a singer/rapper can do justice to the song and the singer, it’s all good to me. Good choice of Legend and Fiona and COMMON! Some of the opinions above would rather listen to the booty-shaking bull$hyt tra.sh that they hear or the radio. Yall need to take a moment and have a reality check, because there is NO ONE trying to pull yall up to nothing but buying their music and burning your brain cells, what’s left of them.
Why do people think if something sucks it must be good… boring is boring dull is dull… Booty music Gangasta rap, pop r&b reggae country… every genre has boring dull music… this is one of those songs… don’t be mad at me because no one bought any roots albums for the last 16 years!
BN4real,thanks for the wake up call
Not better than the original but overall I think it sounds good!
Agreed with whoever said Melanie FIona oversand. She sounded like a damn sheep.
