Do you agree with his support of the Mosque being built at Ground Zero in New York City, as it relates to religious freedom? The President offered his thoughts while giving a talk on Ramadan. He says:
As a citizen and as president, I believe that Muslims have the right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. And that includes the right to build a place of worship in a community center on private property in lower manhattan in accordance with local laws and ordinance. This is American, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable.

I beleive that the mosque being built on ground zero is an injustie to victims of ground zero, as well to the American people. I do not agree with the president at all.

TheLifeFiles Staff. I love you all but I really think the title of this is misleading. President Obama has not given his support of the Mosque. He said they have the right to build it.
I am a Christian and still support them putting the Mosque/Community Center and believe Muslims have a right to build their mosque where they want and other faiths should be tolerate. The President has given no comment in regards to his support of the mosque. As President, he did the right thing by stating they do have the right however he held his opinion (as he should) about rather he supports it or not. His opponents such as Sarah Palin even made comments they needs to give his opinion on if it is right or not build.
I think the title of the video is “President Obama Believes in the Constitution and Freedom of Religion.” The current title suggest 1.) He things it is the right thing 2.) the Mosque is being build at Ground Zero, which it is not (it’s being built close to ground zero).

I think the mosque should be built at the proposed spot, Which is not even ground zero…
At ground zero there should be a cultural tolerance center built in the name of all the people who perished in those towers. The memorial center should be used to promote peace, understanding and tolerance between different faiths and cultures. I think if people understood and tolerated each others differences (Christians and Muslims alike) there would be less bloodshed and hate.
More understanding and tolerance would lead to a healthy co existence of faith.
We have an opportunity to do so with ground zero and be an example to the world. Hopefully someone influential reads this.

People are acting as if the Whole Nation is Islam backed these terriorist, there were many Muslims in that building that day. You have to open your eyes to see that this was the work of terrorist who bent the rules while claiming Allah said do it, but I think that it should be a clear factor that with allt he suicide bombings in Iraq, and Afghanistan, you should see that terrorist don’t give a damn about other Muslims either when trying to get their point across.

I completely disagree with this statement by the president.. I mean as the president he should thoroughly think things over and try his damndest to protect this country and I feel by allowing this non-sense he is allowing us to be unprotected in our own country. I mean we are bringing in the very people who bombed our towers in the begin with, to me this seems like a big slap in the face ((especially by putting the mosque right near ground zero)).
Putting a mosque up at the location is one of the most insensitive actions anyone has ever taken. Ground zero is a place where many people died because some idiot crashed the plane into them. Knowing that the mosques doors are to open September 11,2011 shows that Muslims did this on purpose. They want to see people get upset. Putting a mosque at that location is showing America they have one and that they are proud of what they have done and that ground zero is there land. It is ridiculous and sure there is freedom of religion, but it doesn’ t mean they have to be insensitive to what happend in New York. Families are still upset already nevermind a MOSQUE being put where their loved ones died.
