take note that only people that report on it call it “i(Whatever) killer”
its not google or verizon. those days are over where anyone has to kill the i(Whatever). android proved that. plus apple copied off microsoft. they been making tablets for people getting money for years!
its just apple made it cheaper and polished it up now people want ipads. BUT! here goes google! with its partner in crime verizon!

Really, copying? You don’t know much. Microsoft had been pushing tablet PC’s for about 7 or 8 years before there were even rumors of the iPad but they could never really produce a device that really worked. Google and Verizon doing this is a good thing for consumers because it will push Apple to do better. The iPhone 4 would be nearly as good if Google’s Android OS wasn’t breathing down Apples neck forcing Steve Jobs to make his device that much better. COMPETITION IS GOOD FOR YOU, THE CUSTOMER!!!

And BTW Google’s Android OS has surpassed Apple’s iPhone OS as far as market share goes so saying “they AIN’T KILLED SHIT” is false.

Apple still was the first company to produce a tablet device that really worked, thus making them the leader for others to copy.

Come on son, Yes Apple’s tablet sold very well(I own one) but you can’t say anybody entering that market now is “copying” that just the way the free market works. Apple took good ideas like touch screens and app stores, both of which existed before the iPhone, and improved upon them because they knew there would be a market for it Google is doing the same thing here.

The Google pad thingy will still be considered an ipad knock off

SMH, I wonder why I bother.

I shall have this.

There is no need to “kill” any computer that doesn’t even have an Adobe Flash player or multi-tasking for crying out loud, that machine kills itself.

I just got rid of my iPhone and got the HTC Evo 4G. For simplicity Apple is still the way to go. For functionality, Android (Google) dominates Apple.

See the latest article about the iPad in the Sept. issue of GQ. It’s basically a review of the iPad now that the hype has died down.

The conclusion: keep your laptops folks. The iPad — and hopefully NOT the Google tablet — is only good for what we saw in last week’s Entourage episode when Sloan and E were at the kitchen table lookin’ up s**t. Basically, it’s for entertainment purposes only. Not functionality.
