How is this discrimination? They do this on airlines all the time. NEWSFLASH! Human beings are NOT suppose to be over weight. Sorry, and its not genetic like being black or white, or gay or straight. Weight in all cases can be controlled and if you are FAT its because of poor eating habits and lack of self control. That is all. You break Chinese women chair cause ya fat ass ate a 3 piece and fries before you came into shop and then you expect the shop to shell our 2500. Not fair!

Some people have health conditions like glandular problems that cause them to gain weight. But either way no one has the right to discriminate against someone else for any reason. Either this shop needs to pay for an extended warranty, or insurance for their machines or if it breaks, which eventually it will, consider it a cost of doing business.
You clearly must be over weight. Which is fine as long as you are healthy and doing the best you can to lose pounds. Keep up the good work. I had to do it too. And it was worth it.
airlines only charge overweight people more if they have to be seated on more than one seat, which is logical. that was obviously not the case in the nail studio! also can being overweight be very well be of genetic cause, but nevertheless am i thankful to her that you cant be that stupid, because you at least recognize that being gay has at least a partly genetic foundation.

I find it funny that people can say that homosexuality is controllable. That means you are in deed gay( or have had homosexual desires) and have controlled your way to str8, is that right Treecee? However, putting unhealthy FAT food in your own mouth is natural and uncontrollable. Even if you have a health issue( disabled, thyroids, etc) that does not automatically = the gaining of weight to become obese. I know plenty of people with those limitations and although not “skinny”( which is not good either) are fit and of a normal healthy size. Its not an excuse. But sorry the FACT is that most Americans are just plan FAT due to their own laziness and food choices. That is all.

I agree with the homosexuality remark and regarding the weight issue most of the time they are overweight because they supersized it. This country does not know what a serving size is, look at that KFC sandwich that came out a little while ago.

Stonger chairs = higher quality materials = more expensive materials = once again you are placing the cost on the store owner. This lady owns a nail shop, how can you expect her to be able to afford titanium chairs?!?!
This is easy, do not spend your money there if you do not like their policies. If they need 200+ pounders to shop there, the shop will do what it needs to do to accommodate them or fail. (and being in America and NOT accommodating overweight people is like an literate person working in a library, so they won’t last long)
But should government FORCE them to change their prices? of course not. Let the laws of supply and demand do that.

I agree with you 100%. Tell the heavier people upfront, then they can decide if they want to pay the extra money or tell you to go to hell. It is not that serious. They will just lose the money of all of the heavier women who keep their toes and nails looking good. It will be this store owner’s loss, and a different store owner, who is not worried about heavy people breaking her chairs, will gain.

that shop needs to put a sign outside there door in BIG BOLD letters that say only people weighing XXXX amount and under will pay regular price. Everyone OVER XXXX amount will pay more. That way, no one is embarassed or put on the spot and u get to make up your own mind whether you wanna patronize a place like that. Because she doesnt have it up in the store already, i believe the lady could have easily not paid the additional 5.00 and there wouldve been nothing she could do about it. Whats to stop them from telling u after the service, o i had to use a different polish so thats more??? U have to informed first so that you can make an informed decision.
