That performance was the worst. His autotune was killing my ears. He was wearing a blouse under that suit. He’s lucky the stage lighting was there to semi entertain us and distract us from a lousy performance. WTF was that? That wasn’t even rap. I’m convinced that Conye could shit on stage and you dick suckers would be proclaiming his greatness. Pusha T did better and he was a feature. Conye didn’t even do shit but dance around stage. That song was partly an apology to Swift. I see he is undergoing the same initiation that she went through along with Beyonce, and Gaga who all donned red when accepting their awards. Kanye is a genius real tlk. And this song is amazing, production, lyrics, everything. I think the people that will truly understand this song, are the people he’s tlkn bout. Not everyone is and asshole or duchebag. Those types of people who are have a certain type of personality and live a certain type of life. Kanye is and asshole and duchebag and he knows that; he’s where he’s at cuz of it so deal with it.
When your on top in the way that Kanye is…people are always going to just be looking for the negative. Ive been a Kanye fan and i don’t like the direction his lyrics have taken. From Jesus Walks and All Falls Down to toast for the assholes….really? But, having said that…that was a brilliant performance. The boy is just the best thing going in entertainment. Who else would be on stage with just 1 mpc 2 mics and 3 ballerinas???? He doesn’t care about what other artist are doing because hes in a class by himself. Mtv lets him finish there award shows with songs that nobody has even heard…recognize greatness!

I’ve noticed a lot of ppl are commenting that this is song is supposed to be kanye declaring who he is and telling everyone else to fuck off. I gotta say though, I don’t see it that way. When I looked over the lyrics and the tone, I thought it was about 2 things:
I think he could be talking about the way he acted with Taylor last year. However, I think he’s also talking about assholes in general, particularly men who treat their women shitty just because they can. He’s telling the girl to leave because this kind of guy isn’t healthy. When he’s “toasting” them, it seemed to me like it’s meant to be a kind of satire because he doesn’t paint a very nice picture of the kind of person douchebags are and how they treat their women. I didn’t see it as him supporting assholes. To me, it kinda seemed like he’s calling them out in an ironic way and owning up to his mistakes. But maybe I just like to believe in the positive. If he is actually cheering them, that’s fucking ignorant. There’s nothing liberating or fun about treating your partner like shit because you can’t grow up. If we’re toasting emotional abuse, then what else are we gonna toast? Fuck.

The one for the Yankee Stadium was also designed by Hidalgo but in leather with a gold leaf animal print tank top. He also perfomed in SNL with the red suit.
