Football fans are up in arms after referees blundered a call during the Detroit Lions game against the Chicago Bears yesterday after receiver Calvin Johnson made what appeared to be a miraculous catch in the end zone in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately the touchdown call which was initially made was overturned and Chicago won the game 19-14….
Did he catch that ball???

No touchdown, you have to have control throughout the process.
what process? the process of maintaining control of ball until both feet have touched the end zone or when your ass hits the end zone turf with control of the ball? i heard some say “if he would’ve held on to the ball for a little bit longer…” WTF!!! He clearly had control wit the DAMN ball in his ONE HAND, never bobbled the ball, through the duration of the initial catch, over the defender, touching the end zone with both of his feet and his ass and his knee and left hand, STILL HAVING THE BALL IN ONE HAND!!! WTF!!! The ground didnt cause the fumble, he was tryin to get up and get on with his LIFE! This shit gots to change, like the rule of letting the punter bring down his fuckin foot to the ground after the ball is off in the air… WTF!!! And these fuckin refs fuckin with the hurry up offense… GET YALL ASS BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE DEFENSE WHERE YOU’VE BEEN FOR CENTURIES!!!… I understand the rule was put in place for the safety and injuries to the refs of recent years. Put them mofos on a nice size helmet and shoulder pad,s like in hockey and put the more physical refs in that position on the field! Changes to the game has been “preached” to be for the betterment of the sport. BULLSHIT!!!

insane. perhaps if he wasn’t in the endzone… but a touchdown simply has to be sufficient enough to cross the plane or land 2 feet in to be called a touchdown… he could have thrown the ball in the crowd and it be called a fumble in this scenario. the play was OVER when when he landed 2 feet in with control.
