This is a little off topic of what was discussed with Ne-Yo in this interview. But, hopefully, Ne-Yo will read this and take this idea into consideration.
I recently read an interview that Ne-Yo had with MTV News. He mentioned that he had written several songs that he had intended on giving to Michael Jackson, before his untimely passing. Now that M.J.’s gone, he wasn’t sure of what to do with those songs. Considering that Ne-Yo is one of the best singer/songwriters of our generation, I think that he, along with several other artists that would be able to do those songs justice; Usher, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Trey Songz, Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Keri Hilson, Chrisette Michele, etc… etc…, should all complete a compilation album of that material, to be packaged and sold, with the proceeds going to M.J.’s children and/or charities… and perhaps releasing the album on M.J.’s next birthday, dedicated to his memory.
Considering that M.J. was a philanthropist and humanitarian, I think that this would be the perfect tribute to honor his legacy. And all of the songs that Ne-Yo had written for him would be put to good use.
that sounds like a good idea
Thank you!
good idea.
very good idea. but its easier said than done, they all are always busy. flying from in between awards show. hectic hectic. but def good idea!
I was wit u until justin beiber
Why not? I think that Justin Bieber has a lot of talent and the potential to become the next Justin Timberlake. He can sing and dance, and his voice sounds like a young M.J. to me. He also has the ability to draw interest from the younger crowd to this project.
If a Facebook petition can draw enough public interest and media attention to ignite a Betty White popularity resurgence (No offense to Betty White. I, too, am a fan of her work), then why can’t we all rally behind an idea that would pay tribute to M.J., benefit charities and provide us all with some great music, in the process.
It’s a win/win for everyone, in my opinion.
dem gucci shoes are slums…
I’ll be your stylist Neyo
Neyo needs to stop worrying about other artist and focus on his music, when interviewers bring up other artists, i would’nt even entertain it. His singles haven’t been popping from this new album which is why i think he’s focusing so much on other artists.
