By no means do I think they are all perverts. I was simply speaking on a commonality amongst gays that I have personally witnessed. At this moment Gaga definitely has more pop culture influence than Kanye and will most likely far surpass Kanye in the coming months and years. Just turn on the tv and you will quickly see that Gaga is the artist that the younger pop generation is gravitating towards.

It’s very difficult to say…GaGa has spawned a couple of wannabe’s like Ke$ha and even influenced Christina Angular last album problem is they all are looked at as GaGa rip offs instead of acts influenced by Gaga. Kanye has a deep impact and you could defiantly argue that because Kanye has proven to be such a success over the past years labels have been much more inclined to take chances on artist such as Drake, B.O.B, Nicki Minaj, Wale, Kid Cudi etc……Of course everything I’m talking about here is just music related not pop culture related. It seems like the whole world waits and watches to see what ether one of these two do but you wont be able to truly answer that question for at least 10 years because the impact that people like Madonna and Micheal Jackson had couldn’t not be truly be measured until enough time passed so that that people that grew up listening to them were old enough to be influential artist themselves.

Right now, today, this evening….Lady Gaga has way more influence on pop culture than Ye does. Pop culture looks to her as its new leader and practically worships her. Kanye is too busy admiring and worshiping himself that his “pop” audience is rapidly loosing interest.
Lady Gaga without her outfits is just not GAGA, Kanye without his suits and fly clothes a legendary producer rapper who has fans who been riding with him since day one something Gaga don’t have.

They both share fans, as well as have their own individual fan bases, so I think that they equally have the same amount of influence over current pop culture. You could go just about anywhere in the world that has access to mainstream television and radio, and the person being surveyed on this question would immediately know who both, Kanye & Lady Gaga, are.
Personally, I would listen to Kanye over Lady Gaga any day of the week… but, that’s my personal preference. That’s not to take anything away from Gaga and her talent, I just like what I like and that just so happens to be Gaga in much smaller doses in comparison to Kanye, or any other hip hop artist, for that matter.
I believe that this choice has a great deal to do with the fact that I’m a grown, heterosexual, black man over the age of 30. Even though music has a universal appeal; having the ability to unify people of all backgrounds, transcending many of the barriers that separate us, I also believe that demographics play a pivotal role in the choices that shape our personal preferences.

Becuase as of 9/14/10 I think that Lady Gaga clearly has more of an influence on pop culture than Kanye does. I don’t think that Kanye would be able to start a new global trend right now this very second, but I know that Lady Gaga would be able to. Gaga is more marketable and has more of a pop oriented fan base. Also, the media currently likes her more than they like Kanye and that plays a big role too.
