I seriously cannot believe you cheap ass mofo’s STILL DO NOT USE A MICROPHONE FOR YOUR INTERVIEWS…ESPECIALLY FOR A RETARD LIKE THIS DUDE!!!

I’ve asked every time I’ve seen an interview on this blog. You’re with high profile celebs. The least you could do is get a damn microphone. Jesus Christ. I don’t understand.

can we please get back to rap that means something……I am extremely tired of hearing about the traps these wack ass rappers stay in , they jewels…..their locked up homies……the price of a brick…. how much they BLEW at the strip club…..how many bottles they popped…..all that stuff is stupid…. tell me about the last book you read …..what about going to your kids school functions ?

uhhh… not to sure how well a rap about the last book a rapper read (i.e. DonDiva, teenage millionaire), or about going to elementary school functions would go over… but I do however share your concerns somewhat…

it’s not so much what you talk about all the time, it’s really how creatively and artistically you deliver your message in my opinion… I believe what’s truly lacking, in SOME cases nowadays is CREATIVITY, not so much content. You can always find a conscious rapper bubbling under a stone if you look… and today’s mainstream hip-pop creativity does appear to be gaining ground since Nas declared it dead… i.e. wayne, drake, ross, minaj, (none of which I really care for by the way) but they are truly creative and seem to give a damn about the art at least.

there is unfortunately a place for a lot of this DSTR (disaster rap or down south trap rap) believe it or not… it’s seen almost as conscious drug music, real talk about SOMEONE’S real life… i.e. Jeezy, Gucci, Tip etc… the lyrical capabilities of the artist aren’t the primary selling point, but the trance like hooks, the deep, drug measuring, gang-banging references that some hood/urban/black/white kids WANT to be able to relate to, and live like… tough talk, over beat, with gun blasts throughout… it’s an escape… for some, for others, the soundtrack to their life. as long as there is a destructive, criminalistic underbelly to society, there will be a place for trap rap… although the names may change.

once upon a time lyrics meant EVERYTHING… but unfortunately, not so much any more. The faster we come to terms with that, the better our eardrums will feel in the long run. I however will continue supporting the usual suspects no matter what underground mixtape site I must frequent… (no order) roots, GFK, rae, kast, Talib,18th letter, ye, bus, cham, rza, game, em, jay elec, killer mike (pre mike bigga, post purple ribbon), old nas, old jigga, big pop, 2pac, big L, big pun, KRS, ericB, tip, jeezy (guilty pleasure), old mobbdeep (pre 50), 50 (guilty pleasure), jr. gong, fox, kim, digga, common, sermon, red man, method man (although not so much together all the time), canibus (mixtapes not albums), cube, bun, face, mos def, slick rick, old bone, KoolG, DMX, LOX, old short dawg, old keith murray, tribe… old quick, old spice-1 :) , N.O.R.E., capo, beans, masterP (guilty pleasure, uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhgggg), fat joe (pre pun’s death, last album O.K. though), luda is still 97.5 DJ chris luva luva to me. I know I left some out… but damn this should hold you over.

man, I love hiphop, but it will never be the same.
