Rapper T.I. Has To Explain To A Judge Why His Probation Shouldn’t Be Revoked

by admin on 09/17/2010 · 25 comments

Uh oh.  After his arrest in Los Angeles recently a judge has ordered a bond hearing for T.I. to determine whether the rapper should be back behind bars.  According to the report:

The summons was signed Thursday by U.S. District Judge Charles Pannel Jr., who sentenced T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., for firearms violations.  The order, signed by T.I.’s probation officer, lists three possible violations of his bond: possession of ecstasy on Sept. 1, testing positive for opiates on Sept. 2 and associating on Sept. 1 with Cortez Thomas, a convicted felon.

Spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said several pills confiscated after the traffic stop indicated they were a type of ecstasy…She said the pills were found on T.I. and his new wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and not in the Maybach, the luxury car they were in.

What do you think is going to happen to T.I.!?

I don’t know what’s going to happen but at some point in your life you have to stop making bad decisions. For every decision – good or bad – there are consequences.

He’s a fuckin idiot for doing this, but judging by how easily celebs get off in LA…this shouldn’t be that big a problem for T.I.

I hope, at least. If he doesn’t get off easily…then folks will pull the race card, for sure.

Really? He has to explaine what to who??? If this was DaiQuan Parker form 132nd and Lennox or any other non-celebrity, his bail woulda been revoked, probation violated, and his black ass would already be back in jail with no questions asked. I hate to say it, but it a 8-15 year bid seems to be very appropriate for ol dumb ass Clifford.

Agreed! They should both do time! But I get the feeling that Tiny does what ever the hell TI tells her to do. Behind closed doors I imagine him to be very controlling and her to be extremely submissive. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

It’s not called Slippin when your out on Parole!!! Its a deliberate act of disobediance… he didn’t get caught running a light or speeding… He was caught with drugs in his POCKETS and in his SYSTEM!!! That says he doesn’t even care about the stipulations of his release, that he’s gonna do what he wants when he wants… and that’s fine until the police pull you over… God didn’t find a drug dealer and buy the drugs for him, so please don’t mention God when dealing with this moron!!! Also God bailed him out once already, he did 8 months for getting caught with 20 fully automatic illegal guns! God gave him a chance and he blew it, then he blew weed and ecstacy smoke in God’s face!!!

Maybe, if it was just weed (you idiot) we might just be more forgiving. But you really are a dumbass if you are willing to risk losing your freedom as a millionaire, to ride aroud with pills or anything that is in violation of your probation – ESPECIALLY after getting off of SERIOUS gun charges.

I would never wish Jail on anyone…everybody in here screaming jail has prolly never been to jail or made mistakes. You act like he was selling it to kids….and this isn’t just TI….If TI’s empire crashes, you know how many people will be unemployed? This country and some of us AMericans are so hypocritcial and quick to judge. We just bailed out with our TAX money big rich white fat cats for stealing our MONEY and selling us bad investments, not one person was held accountable but TI and his wife get caught with E pills and yall want him to face all this time…….Now I do think to continually make bad decisions is not a good thing….of course not, but the extra strong comments of send him to jail and idiot are a lil misplaced…Half of yall would not even last as long as he did living his life before or after the fame.

I say STFU to anyone in here defending this bullshit! He should go back to jail simple as that! any other person would be right back in there! he has been in and out of jail for what the past almost 10 years? he should have served 30 years for his last charges but didnt because he made a deal with the courts to guide young kids in the right direction by saying NO to drugs and guns yet hes caught with pill and drugs in his system he completly shitted in the courts face! how many breaks does he and anything else thinks hes supposed to get? i cant believe some of yall defending this fool because if it was yall in this case you guys would be sittin UNDER the jail house right now! i dont give a fuck about a millionaire who cant get his life together …get the fuck outta send his ass right back to jail

He’s an idiot. He got off easy he decides to make an illegal u-turn while he has a few felonies in his car? So you’re going to commit a crime while committing a crime? I don’t want to wish anything bad on his kids as far as losing their father again but it wouldn’t surprise me if he went back.

@Anonymous you are so angry about this, but why? Out off all the issues you feel so strongly about it. We already know life is not fair and money and status get you better everything, so to keep using the comparison of it were us, is kind of a mute point. First I don’t even or you for that fact have enough money to even try and purchase the weapons he bought, so we are not even on that level of crime, and then to have the money to fight the case or a record label to put a million dollars in bail, nor the money or resources to hire the type of lawyers he has, so of course we would be in jail. And of course you are only looking at one side and that is the negative and not the positive. Now I am not defending or condoning what he allegedly has done to violate his probation, all I know is we dont have all the facts, but what I do know is this is the normal routine for possible probation violations. The PO decides if they think there is a violation and then it is sent to the judge for a final determination.
