It took 7 years to get the gun on shelves and he had no money for advertising…….
To this day the gun has generated $1 BILLION in sales and Lonnie’s made somewhere around $20 million from his invention.

I saw this. Very impressive. But I still think the lesson of the day is. Come out with it yourself. Over a billion super soakers were sold and he only gets $20 mill? Don’t get me wrong $20 mill is a lot but he getting some other people wealthy!

I saw this to and I became inspired. All you need is one good idea to become a millionaire, it seems. Ironically, he actually stumbled upon the idea unwittingly while trying to make a water valve for a completely different experiment.
The “Take Away” from this Story to me is: Luck + Opportunity = Success… sometimes.
said it before and I will say it again, everyone can make it if you are willing to work hard, invest time and educate yourself on finance and business.
sure he made them billions, but he made millions doing it. if you know how to work your money and your business, some more of those billions could have been added to his 20 million.
