On a side note, these mega churches that the Pastor is the focus point just scare me..I always appreciated the Methodist denomination because they rotate pastors to stop this from happening. The focus should be on serving Christ and not serving a Pastor…

Why are so many Christians so lost? Jesus himself said “do not worship me, worship God” so why do Christians have the image of what is supposedly Jesus made into a statue and put up in churches? Also, Jesus’ language was Aramaic-which they now only speak in Syria. So that alone tells us that Jesus wasn’t a white man. So why if they had to make the images of Jesus did they have to make him white? Was that some form of brainwashing and manipulation by the church?
I believe that TRUE CHRISTIANS follow the TRUE footsteps of Jesus and do not idolise or worship anyone but God. All Christians who are of sound mind should help the Christians who got lost along the way to get back on the right path.

I really hope things work out but he certainly took a long time to address it.
First, when the hell did Baptist church’s start having bishops? Second, I absolutely believe the allegations against “Bishop” Long. I also believe that everything happens for a reason. Over the last few years I’ve seen how Eddie Long’s church has almost idolized him, just like Juanita Bynum’s congregants did her. So I can’t help but think that God is revealing people for who they are so that the focus can be put back on him.
It’s still kind of funny that this is the 2nd mega church who whole heartedly are against homosexuality but were inadvertently being led by an undercover homo. Hopefully folks will begin to realize that being gay is not a choice nor is it something that can be reversed or prayed out of you.
Homosexuality comes from the devil not God. So you’re right in one sense, but if we know that God is against homosexuality and calls it an abomination then we’re only left to believe that all the homo tendencies that keep reoccurring in the church are a clear sign that something in regards to the ‘church’ is very very wrong. I think it’s because, like you said, people stopped worshipping God and started worshipping Jesus statues and bishops and priests.

We’re living in a time of revelation. As we approach the last days many more will be exposed. Although this behavior is done in secret the bible says the man of sin will be revealed. One must note that Satan too exposes his followers. He wants to discourage believers and make us think that everyone is corrupt. This will make some give up on living a righteous life. Satan has controlled these so called leaders through secret societies/fraternal orders. They live double lives and worship the devil in secret. Satan no longer wants to be worshipped in secret so he must break down our social values. This is why homosexuality is being excepted as normal when the bible clearly calls it an abomination. We will soon be overwhelmed with stories of corruption and wont know who to trust. Pray for the ability to discern fact from fiction and trust in God. God loved us so much that he came to earth and died for our sins. Jesus was not a prophet, he was God in the flesh.
