World’s 4th Richest Man Moves Into $1 Billion Dollar 27-Story Home In India!

by admin on 10/15/2010 · 18 comments

Mukesh Ambani has just made history by moving into the worlds largest single residence called the Antilla in Mumbai, India,  He runs and owns Reliance Industries which distributes and sells oil.  His net worth is valued at $27 Billion dollars and the home is worth an estimated $1 Billion dollars.  Check out some of the amenities below:

The 570-foot-tall glass tower, called Antilia, “features a swimming pool, a health club, a salon and a mini-theatre,” reports the Times of India. “The first six levels comprise the garage where more than 160 cars can be parked. Atop the parking lot is Antilia’s lobby, which has nine elevators.”  The house also has a garden that can accommodate trees, according to the Telegraph, and a separate ballroom. About 600 staffers will be required to run Antilia, named after the mythical island in the Atlantic.

The house belongs to Mukesh Ambani, who owns much of the oil and retail giant Reliance Industries. He is estimated to be worth about $27 billion. Experts told the Guardian that “there is no other private property of comparable size and prominence in the world.” Ambani, the fourth-richest man in the world, co-ran Reliance with his brother before the two had a falling-out and split the company.

Because its a waste! one big unnecessary waste. A lot of billionaires have more sense than this.

seriously… how is it a “waste”? Is it a “waste” to the 600 staffers who are PAID to work there when they would otherwise not be working?

What about the people who built this? Was it a waste to them? All the furnishings… I bet those stores with all their employees thought it was a waste too.

The taxes its brings in from the employees and property taxes mus also be a waste to the city.

And finally, if/when he sell the place, all the families who purchase it won’t bring in more money to the city in the form of property taxes.

Not saying i would do this with my money (because it seems very infantile), but it is not a waste.
