We couldn’t make this up, we wish we did. The city of Cambridge, Massachusetts seems to believer that if you are given a parking ticket in a cool envelope with some Yoga poses on it your day will not suck. Here’s some more details on the experiment created by artist Daniel Peltz who works in the traffic department:
To encourage a better karmic connection between parking police and drivers, the city of Cambridge, MA, printed 40,000 tickets illustrated with yoga poses that the driver and officer can perform together. The project is the brainchild of Rhode Island School of Design professor and artist-in-residence Daniel Peltz, who wanted to suggest a calm response to getting a ticket. No one has been caught in a curbside asana, which Peltz doesn’t find too surprising. But ultimately, he hopes that the yoga tickets will urge citizens to choose their reaction to stress more thoughtfully. The mind-body-soul wellness connection is linked to our everyday stress points. Playful reminders with a strong message keep the important things in perspective.
the.LIFE Files says, “We’re good Christians, we can not take that ticket sir, sorry…..”
