Taylor Swift Talks About The Song She Wrote Regarding The Kanye West Incident In BILLBOARD!

by admin on 10/18/2010 · 18 comments

Here is what she had to say:

On “Innocent,” her song about the Kanye West incident: “It took a while to write that song. That was a huge, intense thing in my life that resonated for a long time. It was brought up to me in grocery stores and everywhere I went, and in a lot of times in my life, when I don’t know how I feel about something, I say nothing. And that’s what I did until I could come to the conclusion that I came to in order to write ‘Innocent.’ Even then, I didn’t talk about it, and I still don’t really talk about it. I just thought it was very important for me to sing about it.”

Good fucking job Kanye.. your dumb ass arrogance has single handedly given this semi-talented broad way more attention and notariety than she deserves. And unfortunately it may be at the expense of yours!

She was selling more records than Kanye, but she was flying under the radar as an artist, after the Kanye fiasco she gained alot more notarity, press and attention. Alot of those awards she received were sympathy awards. He helped her become that much more popular. Therefore she should be thanking him. I wish she would stop talking about it. She acts like he attacked her. All he did was interupt her during an awards ceremony.

People be bugging.

it wasnt sympathy awards… she was and is very popular. kanye just introduced her to the hip-hop community… the pop community was already engaged.

i do wish she would stop talking about the incident though. its time that we all moved on. and her song about ye was lame.

@ Danni…your so right …it is just ridiculous the amount of talented artists who get ignored because they aren’t white or may not be considered attractive by the mainstream… the music industry should simply focus on the music an not sex appeal, regardless is it sells…the under laying issue is really the role race still plays in America…

Enough already. She is going to ride this Kanye West train forever. He did not strike her or push her down. Sure he hurt her feelings but that is all. Please stop it.
