Oh come on. Its clear that Rihanna is the only artist that has inspired her. She bit Rihanna’s style completely. This is like those child singers from the 80′s imitating MJ, swagger jacking his style then acting as though they were completely original.

it is obvious Willow is a product of superstars… Rhianna, on the other hand, couldn’t have half Willows character if she paid for it (much like she did to flourish her “style”)
Jaden >>>>>> Rihanna

Ok, with her being the daughter of Will and Jada, and having Hov sign her, it is absolutely guaranteed that she will be successful….

That being said, i don’t really like this little bitch

Not hating or anything ( cant hate on a 10 year old child) but when asked how did it feel when Jay-Z signed her to his label she says “i felt like all the hard work paid off” FUC OUTTA HERE! Your parents set it up it up and PAID good money for a tight beat a otherwise new artist like you could not afford. Still whips hair tho…. #justsayin

Ummmm yeah, but SHE probably doesn’t know much about that. That deal is btwn her parents & Jay. Call me when she’s 17/18… I just can’t take a 9 yr. old serious unless she’s singing like Fanny or JHUD!

Reply

Anonymous 10/23/2010 at 12:59 AM

great point 9 year olds don’t have much life experience to speak of… yeah i can’t justify listening to her music either, perhaps if she were older.

What about Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder? They both started performing & singing professionally when they were around the same age as she is. Perhaps this is the beginning of an illustrious (and potentially legendary) career for Willow and we’re all witnessing history in the making? Have you considered that?

Reply

Anonymous 10/23/2010 at 2:47 AM

…am sorry but Michael an Stevie are both outstanding artists…this child has yet to prove herself …will her career span 4 decades or more yet we don’t know yet…willow can’t hold a candle to Michael an Stevie vocally are you kidding me? come on these guys are legends around the world… the era which Both Stevie an Michael grew up in they had to earn their respect, neither of them had it handed to them by their parents…just saying.

Dat “whip my hair” song was really inspired by that drag queen who was on MTV’s Americas Best Dance Crew

How can you hate her? She’s got talent and a great personality. Something you internet champions seriously lack.

You should all be ashamed of urselves for hatin so hard on a little girl. You ALL “swagger jack” when u rock the same fashions and hairstyles u see those same artists u talk shit about wear or use the same phrases.People will always “hate” on people doing or having what they can’t have . To Willow: keep doing you inspite of what other kids say and ignore anyone older than u trying to put u down. If they don’t know n e better, their not really worth paying any mind to.

Here’s my issue shouldn’t willow be hitting up nickelodean an the disney channel to promote her music??? why is she being promoted on mtv an 106 an park??? for real her parents are the only reason we know about willow smith, nepotism sucks..
there are so many talented artist who never get the breaks she’s getting just because she was born into the right family.
this is america everyone is entitled to their opinion, if you don’t like it ” so what! – who cares”

rafan 10/22/2010 at 6:35 PM

I can see if you dont like the song…then cool thats an opinion and not hating…I dont like any of the songs Justin Bieber has done, but we start talking about what she says and what she did to get to where she is whether she grinded or not and about her being born into money….that shit aint her fault or she cant help or change that, soooooo what would u have her do…be paris hilton and not work and live off her parents name and wealth or get to work….Take ur extra-regular ass on somewhere…she is fuckin 9….u idiots

Reply

g 10/22/2010 at 6:46 PM

she 9 years old how about her just being a kid…there will be time enough for her to become a mega pop star , as is the intent here…whats even more idiotic is adults listening to to the music of a child…most of you only like willow because she’s African American…the entertainment machine is hard for adults to deal with let alone a child…are you on her pay roll?…if not sit your broke ass down some where fast…

Reply

Anonymous 10/22/2010 at 8:07 PM

@g — “most of you only like willow because she’s African American…” — what a completely ignorant thing to say. You have issues that are way deeper than just you not agreeing with a 9 year old child performing in the Entertainment Industry. Her race has nothing to do with this. You’re the only person who even brought that up. What a jackass!

It must really suck to be you… especially when a 9 year old is way more successful than you’ll ever be.

your not gaining any points because your being equally as rude…so whats your point…freedom of speech is very hard to exercise because most people can’t deal with opinions that differ from the ones they hold…from what I can see in this post g was not the only one who went in hard on willow… honestly it seems folks want others to behave in a manner they deem proper but it’s pointless one only has control over them selves…

So, you’re discouraging being a child advocate and encouraging being a morally deficient, cyber-bullying jackass? Hmmm… Perhaps, you shouldn’t be giving out advice. Because, clearly, you have a firm grasp on reality… but, not really.

Anonymous 10/22/2010 at 8:52 PM

you just proved my point by being a jack also go figure

Anonymous 10/22/2010 at 6:45 PM

It’s disturbing how easily people on the internet can pass judgment so harshly — being so critical, negative & rude, regarding an innocent little girl. SMH

If you don’t like her music, then that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion. You have a right to not listen to her songs or support her career. Problem solved. But, to call her names and use foul language against her is completely uncalled for… especially with that behavior coming from so-called; “adults”. That behavior is what constitutes you being labeled a “hater”.

If you don’t have anything nice to say about her, and if you can’t use constructive criticism (constructive being the operative word), then simply don’t say anything at all. Because, trust me, it doesn’t make you seem cooler by being such a negative jerk over the internet.

Regardless of whom her parents are & their wealth, people should realize that for a 9-year old child, she has undeniable talent and a great personality. That is what she should be recognized for, in my opinion. Save the negativity for another post… or just do us all a favor by growing up and using some maturity when posting a comment about her.

Did you not get enough hugs as a child… did kids laugh at you and call you ugly? What is your major malfunction? Arrested development? Are you socially inept? Or is your mouth just a gaping asshole, dispensing diarrhea, instead of intelligence?

I’ll let you decide… but, personally, I don’t need to roll the dice to call this one.

I think most importantly, she has self confidence. There are so many kids killing themselves because other kids bully them for being different, and here we have grown adults acting as bullies, and we wonder why the kids in America are so messed up.

Wow! I’m shocked to see so many people on Life Files (of all places) goin so hard on dis lil girl. I must admit that her parents are annoying but they have stayed behind the scenes on this one. I personally like the song & think the video is cute. I dont know how hard she did or didn’t work to get to where she’s at so I can’t comment on that.

Kay 10/23/2010 at 3:42 PM

I agree. They should try to do something productive with their own lives instead of wishing something bad on someone else.

heres the problem you can’t tell other people what to do… your just as bad as the person your being critical of because you want to control their behavior

@ anonymous who thinks the other anonymous didn’t get enough hug..are u suppose to be god or somebody? from what i can see your no better because look at the hate filled remarks your making you sound like a hypocrite… a case of the pot calling the kettle black…

Reply

Anonymous 10/22/2010 at 7:33 PM

Initially, I started out trying to speak rationally with that “person”. But, as you can see, that didn’t work. I’m not demanding you or anyone else to conform to my way of seeing things… I simply suggested using a little common courtesy when referring to a child. That is generally considered to be socially acceptable behavior, in most circles. It isn’t a new concept, by any means.

So, I’m a hypocrite, according to you… I never proclaimed to be perfect… I just have a very low tolerance for deliberate stupidity.

Reply

Anonymous 10/22/2010 at 8:35 PM

am confused because your comments were were equally low brow an cruel, so if you realize your not perfect the same is true of everyone else so why get on a soap box an start preaching only to act in the same manner you just criticise …sounds like double talk to me…if you were smart you would have left it alone to begin with…were all learning an growing…when you call people out on their shit you also need to be mindful of your own short comings…an am not perfect either

Reply

Anonymous 10/22/2010 at 8:54 PM

Well, maybe if some folks would use the common sense that God gave geese, they wouldn’t need anyone to “preach” to them. How hard is it to NOT disrespect a CHILD? Really?! Is it that difficult?

Reply

Kay 10/23/2010 at 3:39 PM

She’s only 9 years old, you all need some Jesus for real.
Even if your wishes of failure for her come true, guess what…she’ll still be rich, and you’ll still be, well…you. So stop hating and go do something productive with your own life!

I’m just saying.
