Superman has gone trench coat mafia on us:
Dan DiDio, co-publisher of DC Comics explained, “We wanted to tell a story that’s hip, sexy and moody. We wanted to show a younger Superman at the early stages of his career, struggling with his identity and his place. He realizes he doesn’t belong anywhere and doesn’t fit in.”
The new comic Superman: Earth 1 will hit shelves on November 2nd.

They’re going with the Spider-Man/Teenager angle to try to appeal to a younger, hipper audience. Hmmm… it just might work.

No one wants to be a good boy anymore so Superman just doesn’t fit in. Its either Batman, Spiderman, and so forth.
Since spiderman career is based of this an super man is already peged as perfect I don’t see this working
