Dear Today Show: Kanye West Accepts Your Future Apology In Advance

by admin on 11/12/2010 · 16 comments

We hate that Kanye is no longer doing his big caps lock rants on his old blog, but Twitter seems to be allowing him to vent just fine.  Here’s what he had to Tweet to fans from Dubai about Matt Lauergate:

[read from the bottom]

George W. Bush is talking about him in every interview, the media is going nuts and the music we’ve heard so far is insane – Kanye’s about to make it a hot winter?

Fuck the Today Show and everything they stand for. How come when President Bush was being interviewed they didn’t show him video of the victims of Katrina and tell him to look at their faces like they did for Kanye. He should trying book a performance on Good Morning America.

you’re fucking ridiculous. you’re still comparing the death of thousands of people to the rantings of an emo rapper and the emotions he’s inspired in a clinically retarded ex-president. don’t you see what you’re doing? these things don’t match.

the today show didn’t show vid of katrina because that would trivialize it – trivialize the deaths – as the tragedy itself is more important than how bush feels about it. hence them not asking that question of phrasing it in that manner.

kanye is an emotional nigga. he called bush a racist and knew he needed to own up to that mistake (it was a mistake). He was trying to do so and got caught off guard and then reacted like an emotional nigga would do – with emotional outbursts – eyes all moist and sensitve and shit.

he did the right thing. impugning that bush was using racist tactics in katrina was wrong and manipulative. the fact that he did it during a telethon for katrina – ostensibly drawing attention away from the victims and drawing it to himself – was selfish and borderline criminal. we’re still talking about this shit – this is what this nigga did.

and that fact that you niggas react similarly emotionally and without an ounce of logic and reason makes me sad for you niggas man. cause you’re going to be manipulated. television, music, madison avenue, the MSM, they salivate over niggas like you. everyone one knows that emotional decisions drop IQ one standard deviation. So if you’re only average intelligence to begin with – reacting emotionally to a situation makes you a fucking retard.

a fucking retard.

I’m not calling you – sideshowRaheem – a fucking retard. oh wait, i am.

the problem with the internet and retards is the same problem with them in real life. they’re always screaming the fucking loudest.

I understand what you’re saying, and you’re certainly correct. I think the issue that has folks on Kanye’s side in this case is how Lauer tried to belittle him, put words in his mouth…and it was apparent that the purpose was to embarrass Kanye, when you get right down to it.

these interviews are agreed to in advance. Lauer didn’t ask anything that Kanye didn’t already agree to.

whether they did something to get a rise out of him or not is not as relevant as the fact that it’s incredibly easy to get a rise out of a man who labels himself as intelligent and has been famous for a decade. he’s handled himself like an emotional child – an embarrassment. and all of the things he’s apologizing for – taylor swift – katrina telethon – it’s the same thing. he uses his mouth as an emotional tool rather than a rational one. he has an emotional outlet – it’s called music. he needs to know to turn that off for interviews. Hov will talk dirty to bill o’reilly in records but will never pop off in an interview. hov gets baited in interviews – what does he do? the patented hov laugh. says a joke to deflect the situation (which is to say to the interviewer: “I see what you did there but i’m too smart for that”). music is a defensible outlet – with leverage for hov. the interview is not such a place. smart.

you know how much money kanye’s leaving on the table? from endorsements – soundtrack deals, etc. because he’s a loose cannon and people are afraid to make a public alliance with him only to taint their brand.

and what politically did kanye accomplish with his outburst? raise more money for katrina? prevent one death? keep katrina relevant so that recovery efforts stay apace? None of those things as far as I know. This whole affair and his continued response to it is a big fail.

he needs emotional management and a nice warm cup of shut the fuck up.

Control Your Emotions People 11/12/2010 at 11:55 AM

Agreed…and well put. Kanye is a emotional nigga, he needs to react differently in these situtation or not do interviews. I thought it was appauling and I certainly am not gonna agree or disagee with someone bassed on their race.

Yes, President Bush is slighty slow…but we elected him as Presdient, so he deserved our respect just like were all screaming for everyone to respect our current president. What Kanye did was wrong, wrong timing, wrong place, wrong everything…in my opinion he is simply a spoiled brat who doesn’t seem to know when to just STOP! no doubt he is a talented musician & composer but he needs to take a chill pill, make music and STFU!!

I’m so sick of hearing his tirades…shit I could go on rants all day, but who wants to hear my griping? Exactly…this is how I feel about Kanye’s outburst!! NO ONE wants to hear that shit!!

his album is going to be bonkers……If I were him I would use this media to promote my ish……and ya’ll know that interview was foul….but he should have expected them to twist it to make him look bad…..Bush even though he is a moron and one of the worst presidents in history ….he is STILL a former prez …..so they had to tell him in advance what the interview would entail…..and he would have had to give his approval……Think people…..this ish is crooked …. open your eyes….. Kanye has my support …..but play it smart , homey

I think Kanye should have never gone on the show or taken too much time to re-address these old issues. I also don’t think his album is gonna do too well this time around.

this man has too many emotions…I have to stop reading the story’s and news about him outside of music.

He has a problem with everyone in the media, problems with tv shows, problems with tv networks. Like he doesn’t know what makes his world go round.

I love love Kanye’s music, but he throws a tantrum over anything that doesn’t go his way, he has to be in control all the time, he forgets that everyone has their own agenda too.
