This commercial for Beyonce’s fragrance “Heat” has received one too many complaints in the UK for being too sexy, leading the country’s Advertising Standards Authority to ban it from appearing on television before 7:30PM.
“We considered that Beyonce’s body movements and the camera’s prolonged focus on shots of her dress slipping away to partially expose her breasts created a sexually provocative ad that was unsuitable to be seen by young children. Although we noted the ad was sexually suggestive and might therefore be distasteful to some, we considered that, in the context of marketing for perfume, the ad was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offense to most viewers,” read a statement from the ASA.
We thought the ad was hot, but not THAT HOT……..you?

I totally agree with the UK. It was too sexually suggestive. I would have to shield any child’s eyes, because i couldn’t take my eyes off of her very well greased breast and legs….. and i am a woman. Not quite sure what they were selling after the first second of the video.

This ad wasn’t that hot at all. I was shocked when I heard about the ban. I was expecting this extremely raunchy commercial (which isn’t very Beyoncé anyway), but the commercial was the same one I see all the time. The UK just boosted her sales, anyway. So whatever.

ya’ll been desensitized…we live in a society that exposes men, women and children to acts of depravity on a continuous basis. we’ve gradually lost our morals which is why the world is lost. our corrupt hearts no longer know the difference between right and wrong. artist like Beyonce will parade around suggestively and continue to harm the hearts and minds of unsuspecting viewers. Black woman are Queens and Beyonce should not be allowed to represent our people without a voice of dissention from our community. in addition, most of these clips have a deeper meaning than what is being displayed on the surface. please dont be so quick to defend the works of these artist because there is a purpose behind EVERYTHING they do.
